Yin Yoga - For every body and mind
Sometimes it’s about powering down, not powering up.
Stress!!! Hands up if you haven’t been stressed in the last year, last month, last week?
Let me introduce you to Yin Yoga.
Yoga is well documented as being an excellent stress reliever.
It’s a more grounded and slower paced style of yoga , teaching us a deeper sense of conscious awareness , mindfulness and being in the present moment.
Seldom in today’s busy-ness do we find time and space to go inwards.
A yin practice offers us this chance to do this.
Anatomically the yin practice offers a much-needed stimulation to the myofascial body, promoting an overall balancing of the body’s systems.
It’s a fantastic antidote to sitting at a computer all day. And it’s completely accessible to all- it doesn’t matter what your size, ages or physical constraints are, not only can you practice yin, but you can reap massive benefits too.
Yin yoga helps to restore the space and moisture (synovial fluid) in our joints. The tendons and ligaments are also targeted and stretched, preventing joint rigidity.
Yin Yoga improves flexibility, enlivening the degeneration of other tissues, as we get older.
It creates space in the body and also space in the mind.
There are so many reasons to begin a Yin Yoga practice – and that’s why it’s becoming more and more in demand.
Why not find out for yourself the benefits a Yin Yoga practice can bring , in the safe hands of a highly qualified and experienced Senior Yoga Teacher.
Please join me on Tuesdays at 6:15pm.
